RULES AND GUIDELINES FOR THE ULTIMATE STRAT-O-MATIC FOOTBALL LEAGUE

I. League Over View
1. Each season will consist of 24 teams and will play a full 16 week schedule.
2. There will be an annual draft of 5 rounds to update and fill in for retired players.
3. Each team will consist of up to 53 man roster. Each roster will only consist of carded players unless the uncared player was held over from the season before. This will happen due to injuries during the NFL season.
4. Each GM must have an AIM account so league games and be scheduled and played.
5. There is a $7 league due. These funds are to paid for the Superbowl winner new game, plaque for the Superbowl winner, and to cover the webpage.

II. Transactions
1. Free Agents
   A. A free agent is someone who was not on an active roster the previous USOMFL week.
   B. If a player is on a team roster and is cut, the player will go through the waiver system.
   C. Free agents are available for pick up to the beginning of the Super Bowl.
   D. If a player is picked up, a player must be dropped if there is not a roster spot for the team. No team may be over the 53 man roster
2. Waiver System
   A. When a player is cut, a league announcement will be made.
   B. Seven days will pass for a team to put a claim on that player.
   C. At the end of the 7 days the team with the worst record has that has a claim on the player will acquire the player.
   D. If the player has not been picked up after 7 days then he a free agent and can be picked up at anytime by any team.

III. Trading
   A. Any number of teams can trade. 2-way, 3-way, etc.
   B. Trades can be made after the Super Bowl and until week 11 of the next season. No trades will be allowed after week 11 starts.
   C. Teams can trade players/card ratings, draft choices and future draft choices. (one year in the future).
   D. All trades will have a 48-hour approval period where the league announcement will be made. During the 48 hour period, non-participating teams in the trade will be given the opportunity to object to the trade. If any objections are made, an additional 48 hour period will follow where a league poll will be created. If a 2/3 league majority feels the trade is unfair, the trade is nullified.
   E. After the initial 48-hour approval period, the trade is approved.
   F. All trades must be in by Sunday night prior to the next week if they are to be used in that next weeks game.

III. Schedule
1. Regular Season
   A. The league regular season will have a one league week per calendar week season.
   B. The league week will begin on Monday when the commissioner post the pre-game files for that weeks game. The week ends on Sunday night and all post game files must be posted or sent to the commissioner by Sunday night so the next week can start on time.
   C. If you can not play your game due to scheduling issues, then the game will be auto played by the commissioner. If you know that you will not be able to play you c an find a substitute coach so the game does not have to be auto played.
2. Post Season
   A. 10 teams will play in the playoffs. 5 from each confrence
   B. There will be 2 division winners and 3 wildcard spots.
   C. 1st round (Wild card) Team (4) vs Team (5).
   D. 2nd round (Division game) Team (1) plays winner of round (1) and Team (2) plays Team (3).
   E. 3rd round (Confrence Championship) Both confrence champions.
   F. Super Bowl.

IV. Rosters
1.Each team will have 53 man roster. (No uncarded rookie players), kick coverage card, punts coverage card, team penalties. Each team will use the same WR/QB fumble card.
2. 2 Deep at every position except kick and punt returners, punters and kickers. Before each week it is the owners responsibility to fill any roster holes if injuries have occurred.
3. Teams (based on their Def Card selection) have a base Def (43 or 34). They have to be 2 deep for their base Def. This means a MINIMUM of 22 players on Offense, MINIMUM 22 players on Def, 1 players eligible to play KR, 1 players ELIGIBLE to play PR , 1 Kicker, 1Punter. 4.) We use lose substitution. All positions are swappable except for the following, SS/FS and HB/FB.

5. 2 deep minimums for offense are derived from the BASE offense of the standard pro set offense.
6. Each team is allowed to have 2 IR spots. These can be used for uncarded players that were not carded due to injuries or players that are injured for more than 8 games. Once a player is put on IR, he is there the remainder of the season.

VI. Annual Draft
1. The draft order will be deturmined to NFL standards.
2. The draft will consist of 5 rounds.
3. The draft will be done via the draft tool.
4. Teams will have 24 hour to make picks. Any pick that exceed the 24 hour limit will be pushed to the end of the round.
5. All trades during the draft must have the traded made in the draft tool as soon as the trade is made.

VII. Other rules
1. Be respectful, be adults.
2. Trash talking is encouraged, just keep is clean and not demeaning.
3. Have fun.
4. The game is customizable, I encourage you to take the time and make custom end zones and players for your team. If you need help I will help any way I can.
